Rainforest Lake, Glacier backdrop, and Free Photos

Our kayak venue is a scenic gem within the Westland National Park, one of three National Parks that make up the Te Wai Pounamu World Heritage Area.

It is a world class environmental setting where we journey across the waters to explore the rainforest streams and swamp systems draining from the South Okarito State Forest and Kiwi Sanctuary.

The mountains of the Southern Alp are in close proximity. This high mountain chain creates a vibrant climate as the winds off the coast raise above the mountains.

Dramatic climate change every day is a feature of our tour. The moisture in the air and the angles of light at various times of day makes for a stunning photographic record.

We carry a digital camera and collect photos of our guests to freely give to them after the tour.

This is a free service where we want to capture you looking good, comfortably and effortlessly  gliding your kayaks across mirror-like water amid a luxurient forest remeant surrounding a lake at the coastal section of a glacier valley with the panoramic overview of the highets mountains of NZ . Its often brigh and clear at the lake whilst watching the vibrant climate and moody light of the moisture on the alps in the back of the valley.
