Join us on a unique kayak adventure! Paddle across Lake Mapourika and take in the stunning panoramic views of the Southern Alps and up to 10 different Glaciers, including the Franz Josef Neve. On the far side of the Lake follow your guide deep into the rainforest and Kiwi Sanctuary via our infamous rainforest creek! Tours depart at various times throughout the day. The early bird gets the worm – a crisp and clear time of day – snow clad peaks and mirror like waters. You’ll glide effortlessly across the surface of the glassy lake. Spread out and enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake and often enjoy views as far as Mt. Cook and Tasman. This is regarded as the calmest time of day, great for families and inexperienced paddlers. We had perfect sunny weather, a completely calm lake with mirror-like reflections all to ourselves. It was magical. We even saw a rainbow! Our guide Quoha (I'm sorry, I don't know how to write your name!) was very nice and knowledgeable. She gave us some insight into the flora and fauna of the place and some very interesting tasting leaves to chew.
